Governor’s Scholar Recognition: Students selected are the highest academic achievers as well as having significant school and community involvement. Students selected are honored by the Governor of Iowa as the top students in the state.
Best in Class: Top High School graduating seniors who are the best and brightest of their class.
National Merit Finalists and Scholars: To qualify to be a finalist a student needs to take the PSAT/ NMSQT usually during their Junior year of High School and get a score between 1420-1480. Students who qualify as Semifinalists in the National Merit Scholar program and meet academic and other standards to advance to the Finalist level will compete for scholarships.
High ACT: Students that received a score of 29 or higher on the ACT exam.
